This year
God has blessed us beyond measure. He is continuing to show us
new truths from His Word and promises of old in the scripture
that we are witnessing in a new way.
Last year in our thanksgiving news letter sharing how God
intervened in Elaine's life, sparing her from death, and then
taking care of an insurmountable medical bill, we challenged
you to believe God for miracles in your life for 2014.
I hope you took us up on the challenge and seen God's mighty
hand at work.
It has been a busy and full year. Elaine did not return to
work since July of last year, yet god has met our every need
financially and even extra.
We had
Elaine's younger brother from Indiana flown out to spend a
week with us.
Elaine continues to be doing well physically not getting sick
since she recovered last year. She does use oxygen when she is
doing more physical activities due to a drop in her oxygen
level.
We discovered this due to her hospital stay last year. It is
very possible it was like that before.
It is exciting
to see our children and their spouses doing well in both their
careers and establishing their homes. It is especially
encouraging to have them call us to pray and advise them
spiritually. We see good signs in all of them.
Our prayer is that all our family and friends will come to
know and follow Christ Jesus our Lord in these uncertain days.
My (Rick)
handyman business has been doing well.
I continue to serve many as a pastor and mentor through Haven
of Hope ministries, as well as preaching in different
churches.
God has place me in places of spiritual leadership that gives
me opportunity to continue in my call as a Pastor and to use
the gifts God has given me.
Elaine
has become more involved with Lady's Bible Study and helping
watch children during the MOPS meetings. (Mothers of
Preschoolers).
The year
we decided to get a real Christmas tree for the aroma. We
decided not to dig out the hundreds of ornaments and went
simple but elegant with silver balls and ribbon garland with
the names of Christ on it. Midway we have a manger scene with
Mary & Joseph looking at the Christ child, and on top we
have a cross, the real reason for the season and for our
lives.
Jesus is not just the reason for the season, He is the reason
for everyday!
Thank
you for being a part of our lives. You are special to us and
we treasure knowing you. God Bless!
