Hello!
Trying
to get back into the routine of sending out newsletters.
This has been a very full year full with work and ministry.
It is good to begin to slow down enough to get caught up on
some things I have let slide. This newsletter being one of
them.
We have come through the summer, an election, and now we are
embarking upon the holidays. It all happens so fast.
I hope
this letter finds each of you doing well and aware of how
great our God is. These are definitely uncertain days in our
nation and communities as it seems we are embracing more and
more those things that displease God. Yet in the midst of it
all there is hope, peace, and confidence for those who put
their trust in God. Isaiah 32:17 says:
"The fruit of
that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be
quietness and confidence forever."
If ever
we need the peace of God in our lives, it is now. If ever we
need to live by the truth, it is now.
I know
we can be anxious and busy. But do we want to be still and
know that God is God? Just to know Him more. To quiet our
hears and minds in His presence and peace.
So
often we seek His hand, (His help, healing, provision,
strength, etc.) but we are called also to seek His face.
There is a big difference between seeking His hand or
seeking His face.
We
personally know individuals in our lives who seek our hand.
Those who call us or visit us only when they need something.
But the most meaningful relationships we have are those
where they know we are there for them when they are in need,
but they also seek our face. To just want to be with us
because they love us and we them. I know I can come to God
and seek His hand in my times of need and He will be there.
I know I can come to God and seek His hand in my times of
need and He will be there.
Yet, I also want to be with Him and seek His face just
because I want to be with Him.
Just to
worship and praise Him.
To fellowship and share life with Him.
To know God more.
2
Chronicles 7:14 says:
"If my
people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves
and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and
will heal their land."
In
Matthew 6:33 Jesus says:
"But seek
first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these
things will be given to you as well."
How
long has it been since you have just spent time with God in
personal fellowship with Him?

The
Lord is also giving me opportunity to share the vision of
mentoring the next generation with various churches and
individuals.
I continue to minister as a pastor to those God brings
across my path.
May we
all be prepared for the Lord to use us.
