Our Hope Rests in the
Truth of Who is in Control
Sometimes we lose sight of who
really is in control and that we serve a God who is aware of
every little thing in our lives. He is greater than any
thing we might face, but personal enough to care about every
intricate detail of our lives.
The other day I was putting up
guttering on my house, when my hand slipped and the corner
of the sheet metal slit my wrist. After the initial cry of
pain I looked down and said out loud, "This isn't
good". I went into the house and washed off the blood
to discover the deep cut missed my artery, and cut right
between three main veins.
God reminded me that very moment
that He does watch over us and these so called lucky moment
are nothing less than God's oversight and care in our lives.
And had it been worse, God would
still be in control, for I belong to Him. In Matthew
10:29-30 Jesus speaks of the sparrow and how not one
of these tiny birds fall to the ground apart from the will
of our Father in heaven. And He goes on to say, "So
don't be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrow."
God does know exactly where you are and what you need
right now!
Turn to Him! Trust Him! Rely on
Him. Let Him be the God He is in your life! He does
not fail!
The
Gathering
May 9th we gathered
for worship and prayer with 50-60 in attendance. It was a
great time in God's presence. Keep praying as we still need
to see God break through in Denver.
May Update
May was a good month, but busy. I
have met with pastors all the way from Indianapolis to the
western slope in Colorado this month.
As I meet with different people and
pastors I realize more and more how God is preparing us for
His purpose. He is challenging us to step up to another
level in our relationship with Him. To know that radical
reality of knowing Jesus Christ and surrendering ourselves
fully to Him.
These are not the days to be casual
about our relationship with God and each other. These are
not days to be careless about sin and things that dishonor
God. God is calling each one of us to count the cost
and be willing to follow Him obediently into the battle for
righteousness!
The church that is going to
impact this world for Christ is not the building down on the
corner, but it is God's people everywhere who have been born
again through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ, and who
have died to self and selfishness and been filled with the
power of the Holy Spirit. Sanctified and set apart for God's
purpose!
Don't miss
out on what God is doing!
