Greetings
from Golden Colorado,
Wow! We are already well into 2020. As I prayed about the
new year, God put a message on my heart concerning Nehemiah
and the rebuilding of the walls around Jerusalem. A daunting
task as the walls were laying in total ruin. I used Legos to
demonstrate the message.
The walls were 40 feet high, 8 feet wide, and 2.5 miles
long.
To make the story short, they rebuilt it in 52 days! Even
with threats and opposition. How? Each person did their
part, and as it says in Nehemiah 3, they rebuilt what was in
front of their house. Can
you imagine what God would do if each of us prayed and asked
the Lord what it is we need to rebuild that is in front of
us. The task of rebuilding seems overwhelming when you look
at the whole picture of our country and world. But if each
of us just focused on what we are responsible for in
obedience to Christ, it would be a major transformation and
revival. I want to ask you to do this one thing; Go to the
Lego store and get a Lego. Place it in front of you where
you spend time in prayer and ask God specifically what He
want you to rebuild.
Haven of Hope Ministries continues to grow as I am now
meeting to be a pastor to more pastors, and I am mentoring
two more young men in the ministry. These past months I have
been doing more preaching at different churches, and I am
overseeing a ministry to young adults where I will be doing
mentoring as well.
Would you also join me in prayer as we have lost $300.00 a
month of support due to a life change of one of our main
supporters. As I prayed about it I am not discouraged, but I
do feel led to ask you to pray as I am looking for 12 people
to pledge $25.00 a month to the ministry. If you are not
already giving, would you prayerfully ask the Lord if this
is something you could do.
Find a pastor and thank him for proclaiming the Gospel. You
have no idea of the way that will encourage and empower that
servant of God.
Thank you for your support of this ministry in both your
prayers and in your giving.
May
God Bless You Richly,
Pastor Rick Messer, Pastor of a church without walls.
