Greetings
from Golden Colorado,
Wow! It is the season of celebrating our Savior's Birth
already! And we are one year closer to Jesus Coming again!
Because of the reality of what we celebrate at Christmas,
there is HOPE. IMMANUEL! GOT WITH US! In a world that has
shown in its uncertainty and our helplessness this year, it
is so good to know that we have a Savior, Jesus Christ that
is the same yesterday, today and forever more!
In the midst of everything that
has been happening this year, God has shown Himself
faithful. While we as humans have been restricted, God has
not. This year I have seen God moving in so many ways. I
have had the opportunity to share the Hope of Jesus Christ
with more people this year than ever before.
God has given me more opportunities to preach His Word this
year and do more mentoring than any other year since we
founded Haven of Hope Ministries in 2009. I am mentoring a
small group of young adults once a week, five young men on a
regular basis, preaching in Burlington monthly, as well as
in my home church fairly often, and being a pastor to
pastors.
Here is a testimonial sent to me
from Levi, one of the young men I have been mentoring:
|
"Being mentored by Rick Messer has been a vital
part of my growth as a pastor and as a man of God.
He has helped guide me through the ups and down of
ministry. He has challenged me when I needed to be
challenged, lifted me up when I needed to be
encouraged, all the while bringing decades of
ministry experience to our meetings. I consider him
not only a trusted mentor and confidant but also a
friend in the ministry. I thank God for the blessing
and privilege it has been to be mentored by Rick
Messer." |
It is so encouraging to see the
younger generation that God is raising up who really want to
know and serve Him! God IS in control and He is moving!
Thank you for your support of this ministry in both your
prayers and in your giving. I would challenge you to empower
this ministry as well by encouraging someone in ministry as
often as you can. There are those in your life that you can
impact as well.
May God Bless You Richly,
Pastor Rick Messer / Pastor of a church without walls.
