Merry
Christmas in the Lord,
Jesus has come! What wonderful news. Gospel means “Good
News”. Have you looked closely to the words spoken by the
angel to the shepherds at Jesus birth? Luke 2:10-11:
|
“But the angel said to them, “Do not be
afraid. I bring you
good news that will cause great joy for all the
people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been
born to you;
his is the Messiah, the Lord.” |
It just would not be as impacting if the angel said: “I
bring them good
news.” No, it says “I bring YOU good news”. It is personal
and for each of us individually and available to all. Jesus
Christ is that good news.
I just want to share some exciting updates of the ministry
opportunities that God has been bringing to me. This year I
have had a number of preaching opportunities in different
churches. Recently as I preached in one church the Holy
Spirit came and really impacted a number of people with His
truth.
I have just stepped into a new
role of mentoring young adults as a group and then hopefully
meetings with some of them individually as well. Just this
past week I started mentoring another young man and our
first meeting was powerful and rich as I felt God really met
with us during our time together. I am grateful for the
pastors I meet with that seem to be encouraged through the
ministry.
I want to thank each of you for
your part in this ministry as you offer your support in your
prayers and your giving. You are investing in those who
bring the Good News of the Gospel to others just as the
shepherds did that first Christmas day. May we all seek Him
out for ourselves and see for ourselves that Jesus is real,
just as the angels declared!
May
your Christmas be rich in love and worship of the
resurrected Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May we all live
looking forward to His coming again!
Prayer concerns: 1)
Praise for Pastor Lafe’s healing from his cancer.
2) God’s
blessing on these new opportunities mentoring the next
generation
3) Raising some more support to be
freed up to invest more time in the ministry.
Please let us know how we can be praying for you as well.
