Greetings
from Golden CO,
In a world that is always
changing and leaving many so uncertain, it is good to know
that we have a Savior in Jesus Christ that is the same
yesterday, today and forevermore. Emmanuel, God with us.
Recently I had the opportunity to have a conversation with a
man who was one of the most well versed men on the
"scriptures" that I have ever encountered. I could quote a
verse and he would know where it was found. He was very
impressive. But as I spoke with him and I kept asking
strategic questions, I found that he did not believe Jesus
was God come in the flesh. He did not believe the Holy
Spirit was a person of the Godhead, but was a force. He was
a Jehovah Witness. As I walked away from this conversation
it grieved my heart that someone who “knew” the scripture so
well did not recognize who Jesus really is.
There are a lot of pastors out there
declaring God’s true word, and presenting Jesus Christ for
who He really is, but they are feeling overwhelmed by the
opposition and lack of interest. As I meet with some of
these pastors I see how much they need someone to come along
side them and hear their hearts and lift up their weary arms
through encouragement and prayer.
And
while I am carrying out this ministry of Hope to pastors, I
would encourage you to find a pastor you can be an
encourager to. It may be your own pastor or another minister
in your community that needs a safe person to lean on and
who will just listen and pray. It is a rewarding and
impacting time when I meet with these warriors for the
Gospel and they have a sense of relief and renewal after our
time together.
Find a pastor and thank him for proclaiming the Gospel. You
have no idea of the way that will encourage and empower that
servant of God.
Thank you for your support of this ministry in both your
prayers and in your giving.
May God Bless You Richly, Pastor Rick Messer, Pastor of a
church without walls.
